Guelph Minor Football Association
now has a Tobacco-Free Policy
While this has been a long term policy for our coaches, we have now extended the policy to our playing fields. Sport and recreation groups play an important role in the health and wellness of our community. A tobacco-free policy strengthens the positive impact our organization has on the health of our participants.
Our goal is to prevent youth from starting to use tobacco products. To protect participants and spectators from second-hand smoke, as well as the environment.
The policy is simple,
While on the practice or game fields used by Guelph Minor Football no coach, player or parent will use a tobacco product.
1st infraction will result in a warning to the individual.
2nd infraction will result in the individual being asked to leave the playing field.
3rd infraction will result in the individual being banned from the playing fields.
